Black History Month for the African American Student Union is a month packed full of cultural, educational, and social events to both educate and embrace the African-American culture’s history and roots. The theme for the 2019 Black History Month is “Black Architects: Restoring Our Foundation,” AASU is excited to bring the community events like Onyx Ball, the Annual Black History Art Showcase, and the Keynote Black History Month Speaker, which this year is Andrew Gillum.

Onyx Ball is the African American Student Union’s Premier social event during Black History Month including food, dancing, a series of awards, and a performance by the Onyx 12, which is a group of twelve impactful African-American Georgia Tech Students selected to do a performance for all Onyx ball attendees.
